Located in the centre of the urban area, the Fier valley is a major strategic site for the development of Annecy. Although marked by its industrial history, the river’s banks benefit from a vibrant ecosystem. The closure of the gravel pits poses a dual challenge of renaturation and urban development. Greater Annecy commissioned Lafayette to design its masterplan.
